The world needs everything sustainable and nurturing especially now when the world is facing the second wave of the deadly Covid-19 virus with the third wave already lurking dangerously close. Anything eco-friendly is what we need to support and promote be that decor or any other goods that we use.

 House of Rugs, the new e-commerce platform founded by Aishwarya Gupta, the young face of a 38-year-old export house based in Bhadohi, UP, has collaborated with Gur Organics of Pernia Qureshi, one of India’s leading fashion entrepreneurs for this project. Kairos promotes sustainable luxury, as well as women’s education, another of Aishwarya’s concerns. Kairos is a collection of rugs that celebrates the essence of simple and minimal design using eco-friendly materials.

The luxury carpets are beautiful using ethical practices with an utmost care for the planet. That combined with the amazing hand tufting technique using wool, silk and viscose makes these carpets an absolute must have if you are a house lover 

This collection takes the modern flair of Japandi and blends it with the timeless elegance of Art Deco aesthetics. Where Japandi has a tendency to be neutral, the rich colour palette of Deco gives the room more warmth.

Two of the dhurries from the collection are made of PET yarn derived from recycled plastic, while three rugs are in a combination of wool and jasmine silk, and one in wool and viscose.

Parts of the sale proceeds will go towards a women’s college Aishwarya’s family is building in Badhohi.
