Nestled in the heart of Bengaluru, for three tantalizing days this August, romance and culinary artistry intertwine as Chef Phyu-Cyn, or Chef Goo Goo, pays homage to her Burmese heritage. As you traverse through her thoughtfully constructed tasting menus, every dish tells a love story, a vivid tapestry of Myanmar’s vibrant cuisine. It’s not just a meal; it’s an enchanting journey—a passport stamped with spices, textures, and heartfelt memories where each bite whispers the secrets of her homeland.

From tea leaf salads stirred with the heart of Myanmar, to mohinga brimming with ‘mettā’ and ‘cetanā,’ her dishes are not just food, they are a warm embrace. This collaboration is a love letter to global connections, creativity, and the power of food to spark conversation. For three days, we invite Bengaluru to taste her journey.”
Burmese Culinary Adventure: The Event Unfolds
Beneath the elegant chandeliers of Conrad Bengaluru, Chef Goo Goo’s special culinary event promises an unforgettable experience that goes beyond mere dining. From the spirited Shan Village Tofu, a delightful blend of chickpea and turmeric topped with zesty chili crisps, to the earthy Laphet Gremolata featuring Burmese fermented tea, this menu is an exploration of depth and tradition. Each appetizer feels like an intimate conversation—the kind you might have perched at a bustling Yangon cafe, savouring the beauty of shared flavours with loved ones. As the evening flows, guests are invited to relish the comforting embrace of Dawei Mohinga, a catfish and rice noodle soup that’s like a warm hug on a rainy day. This pre-main dish tells the story of home, reminiscent of the wet markets bustling with life. The feast continues family-style, with vibrant dishes such as the braised aubergines with shrimps, where paprika meets peanuts in a dance of flavour, and the Mawlamyaing Chicken Curry, celebrated for its aromatic Anglo-Burmese masala, a symphony of spices that play like notes in a gentle love ballad.
