For ultimate relaxation head to the Neoveda Spa at The Metropolitan Hotel & Spa
While I indulge sometimes at the cult Japanese restaurant - Sakura, at The Metropolitan Hotel & Spa, it had been ages since I had stepped into the Neoveda Spa that the hotel houses. This time it was different. My sole aim in visiting the hotel was to relax at their spa which is on the lower lobby level. The award winning spa is based on the ancient healing techniques of Ayurveda but with a modern touch. They do have the international therapies like the Thai, Swedish massages etc if that is your preferred therapies.
The spa uses all its products from the Craft House their in-house boutique. The luxurious products with its ethos firmly placed in the Indian heritage is produced in house as well. I walked into the Neoveda Spa with high expectations and was not disappointed. After a long conversation with the Corp Communication head Kavita Ghai and the spa manager I was given an exhaustive spa menu with a suggestion to go for their signature massage which included a scrub, oil massage and a body wrap that would take 90 minutes.
A pleasant looking masseur escorted me to the relaxing area where I was served herbal tea and then taken to the therapy room. As the therapist began to knead and coax my muscles to release all the accumulated tension with her deft fingers I could feel myself falling asleep. The pressure was just right and the therapist was doing an absolutely amazing job while I just relaxed. Since it's summer I had been suggested a cucumber wrap and I gave in to the cool sensations of the wrap drifting in and out of sleep.
I would deeply recommend the their signature massage if you have the time otherwise they have massages, facials, wraps, body scrubs that take a time period of one hour which is again excellent to rejuvenate you for your daily grind that such an unavoidable part of everyone's life these days. Just an hour here and you will feel refreshed and ready to face the world. Go for it!
The cucumber wrap is perfect for a summer treatment
