Mediterranean Flavours at the Sunday Brunch: NYC, Radisson Blu Plaza

Sundays are meant to be relaxing and fun with family, a good brunch is one of the best ways to have one. So if you are looking for a good brunch in town then head to NYC at Radisson Blu Plaza for a heartwarming and delicious Sunday spread. After all who can deny that food is the best way to bonding!

 And that’s what we set out to do on a late Sunday afternoon at the 24 hr open restaurant NYC, Radisson Blu Plaza that offers a wonderfully lavish brunch buffet spread. The Sunday Brunch is amazing here where you can sample cuisines from different parts of the world. The focus, this time, was exotic Mediterranean dishes from a host of countries like Greece, Italy, Southern France and Spain. One could also choose from a variety of selected dishes of Libya, Morocco, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey and of course many delectable dishes from home country.

Mediterranean food has become a popular choice across the globe for it’s a perfect marriage of taste and nutrition that is fresh and healthy. We started off with fresh lime juice that awakened our senses that proved to be a perfect start to our meal with some Greek style chicken skewers and Machhi Amritsari that my sister had ordered. The fish was deliciously crunchy on the top and soft and juicy inside. The variety here Is mind boggling and one is certainly spoilt for choice.  I would have loved to try all of them and I managed to pack quite a lot more that what my tummy could take.

The salad section was extremely tempting with assorted varieties for the vegetarian and non-vegetarians. I opted for the Prawn with Guacamole and Cilantro Sprig and will recommend it any day. I also tried the exotic looking bite-sized Seared Fig with blue cheese and walnut which was just heavenly. My mother, a die-hard vegetarian was thrilled to see the variety of spread for vegetarians, with choices of paneer (cheese) curry, crunchy onion ladyfinger, yellow dal and dal makhani.

The Moroccan Lamb Tagine with Cous Cous is also something you should surely try here for the delicate flavours that will please your tastebuds. I also loved the Laal Maas though I would have liked it if the meat was a wee bit tender. The live cooking table had the petite and delicately presented shwarma which was what my son asked for and seemed to love it.

 

One can order your choice of pasta, pizzas, grilled vegetables and kababs from the live cooking counter. The desert section looked the most attractive with pretty-looking deserts. I went in for some exotic fruits, a couple of churros and something I had not yet tried- the pumpkin cinnamon tart which was simply awesome! Here’s your chance make this Sunday interestingly delicious as you discover cuisines that have travelled across countries, centuries and cultures.

 

Guests are encouraged to bring their kids as the restaurant is also offering a special kids’ menu along with interesting activities for them such as face painting, tattoo making, bouncy, remote controlled cars and ice hockey.
