'Men's Tailoring' by Gucci

Gucci is out with its new collection of formal men’s suiting titled 'Mens Tailoring' which embodies the confident mindset of the international man about town. True to Gucci’s codes of luxury, the beautifully designed and meticulously perfected Tailoring collection takes its cue from the House’s aesthetic, which combines traditional artisanal craftsmanship with contemporary style.

Read on as we take you on a tour through the seven silhouettes offered in this collection, which allow for different shapes and individual preferences while always delivering the signature Gucci look.

NEW SIGNORIA: Gucci’s modern-fit suit

The jacket construction features a soft canvas interlining and a thin shoulder pad that gives a gentle roll. The style is single - breasted with two buttons, a ticket pocket, side vents and a micro GG lining. Typically, the New Signoria comes in specially developed modern check fabrics for a fresh take on the patterned look.

MARSEILLE: Gucci’s slim- fit, tapered suit

This is a classic style offering contemporary proportions, with a jacket that is tapered through the body. The construction is single - breasted and features a canvas interlining, two buttons, a single vent and a lining in the House Horsebit design. As befits the elegance of this style, fabrics are fine and traditional, such as a wool - silk blend with a lustrous sheen.

DYLAN 60s: Gucci’s slim-fit, relaxed suit

With a Sixties inspiration, this suit is designed to be extremely easy to wear, with a soft shoulder, optional patch pockets, very slim lapels and narrow trousers with flap pockets on the back. Single – breasted with two buttons, single or double vents and bi - colour lining, the period spirit is brought right up to date by fabrics that emphasises comfort, like stretch cotton-suede.

SIGNORIA: Gucci’s original classic suit

A structured shoulder, elegant ticket pocket, canvas construction and GG classic lining mark the Signoria out as being imbued with Gucci’s contemporary - heritage spirit. Single – breasted with two buttons and a single vent, the style lends itself to luxurious, smart fabrics, like sablé mohair.

MONACO: Gucci’s accessible slim-fit suit

A slim, tapered suit with a soft shoulder and slim lapels for a youthful, stylish look. The Monaco, named after the glamorous principality, is single - breasted, has two buttons, a single vent and a distinctive lining in the House Diamante motif. Fabrics include variations on classic cloths, like wool-mohair.

BRERA: Gucci’s accessible traditional-fit suit

This suit is named after the sophisticated artistic district of Milan, and features well - constructed shoulders that give shape to the jacket, which is single - breasted, has two - buttons, single vents and a GG-motif double lining. The classic style lends itself to more traditional fabrics like wool -mohair in a bold stripe.

HERITAGE: Gucci’s 70s-inspired suit

The wider lapels, slim sleeves, narrow shoulders, and tapered chest give a clue to the origin of this style: the heyday of the international Jet Set, the 1970s. Single - breasted with two buttons, side vents, a canvas interlining and a lining in the House Chain motif, the look is the perfect blend of past and present, a mix enhanced by the use of modern, engineered fabrics like rib flannel.
