The new 10 day Radiomir

Oficine Panerai launched its new Radiomir 1940 10 Days GMT Automatic Oro Rosso - 45mm in two new exclusive Special Editions where the beauty and simplicity of the Radiomir 1940 design is, for the first time combined with the P.2003/10 manufacture movement. The new Radiomir uses Panerai styling and offers a classy look fitted with its own functionalities and fancy features.

The case, being water-resistant to 5 bar (about 50 meters), staying true to the pure Italian designs of the 1930s and 1940s, 45mm in diameter and made of  5NPT red gold, is instantly recognisable.

Apart from telling time, even in the dark, this bundle of features comes equipped with a power reserve display, two time zones, a.m./p.m. and date indicator; combining these traits while providing easy user interface. Additionally, the watch has a mechanism that sets the second hand to 0 as soon as the crown is pulled out, giving it a very accurate reference time.

Looks aside, the real beauty of this timepiece lies in its movement. The calibre measuring 13 3/4 lignes (31mm) along with the three spring barrels give it an impressive power reserve of ten days. To aid this, they also have 25 jewels and a balance that makes 28,800 vibrations per second (4Hz). This complicated, yet genius mechanism can be viewed via the display case back.
