A peek into the upcoming LFW
The Lakme Fashion Week is all set to take place in Mumbai from 20th to 24th August. The participating designers unveiled their upcoming Autumn/Winter collections at a recent press conference held at the Palladium Hotel in Mumbai. Luxe Point India brings you the very first look of the collections of three very talented designers.
Designer Neha Agarwal, who is known for sensuous, vintage evening wear, presented a preview of her collection ‘Mille Fleurs’. The collection is said to be a celebration of magnificent miscellanea of seventeenth century's regal petit point embroidery and well defined contemporary silhouettes. Spotted wearing a chic outfit by Neha was actress Shriya Saran in a red peplum skirt and a floral crop top.

Swati Vijaivargie’s collection is inspired by the traditional clothing of Hmong women and pays homage to the culture of Vietnam. The designer has extensively used shibori, a pleat and bind technique to create elaborate prints on handmade fabrics. Actress Deeksha Seth, her muse, made an appearance wearing a shibori printed knee length dress with a printed jacket.

Designer Anavila Sindhu Misra’s collection was a refreshing reminder of the culturally rich Mohenjo Daro. Her line of rustic saris and other pieces of the collection are inspired by various objects found in excavation, architecture, craft practices and art remains of the historic site. Her muse , actress Konkana Sharma showed up wearing a naturally dyed indigo sari and blouse with thread work.
