Smile and Coffee get served with an Eclair

Coffee breaks always come in with its sweet cherishable moments, at times romantic, at times friendship, few times introspective, at times a talk with yourself but mostly all times enjoyable. One can simply go on with the coffee and its lovely smell that instantly links us to people, places and memories. And so when the invitation said 'Coffee and Eclair Soiree' evening at the Le Meridien, Gurgaon to celebrate the International Coffee Week, there was no way this 'sweet' invitation was going to be missed.

The celebrations at the Le Meridien Gurgaon, kick started on the World Éclair Day on 22nd of June when it surprised its guests with a complimentary Éclair on an order of any coffee. After which the coffee inspired week has seen happiness, plenty of coffee infused aromatic conversations and joy.

The evening started with the famous Pastry Chef Johnny Iuzzini’s Éclair Diaries video as a part of the signature éclair programme. Iuzzini began the journey last year as he travelled across the world curating his Éclair Diaries. During his local visit to India’s capital city- New Delhi he curated an exciting local Indian flavor called the 'Darjeeling Express'- delicious and utterly tempting. It was this flavour that the hotel's Executive Pastry Chef, Anil Kumar, recreated for the soiree, through his Éclair making workshop for all present at the Longitude Bar of the hotel. The guests had fun in the interactive workshop as they helped pipe the Eclair perfectly.

“Nothing gives me more joy than creating these lovely Eclairs live for my guests. I am so pleased that everyone enjoyed the evening and to my pleasant surprise piped their Eclairs perfectly”, said Kumar.

Coffee and Eclairs and no conversations is unimaginable, the Longitude Bar soon saw an energetic evening of guests engaging in talks filled with smiles and laughter, there couldn't be a better way to spend a Saturday evening surely.
