This season Monsoon got a whole lot interesting with designer Shehla Khan showcasing a special collection at the Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi. Explaining her sophisticated and smart mid-season festive collection the red-carpet favourite designer shared few moments from the event stolen specifically to chat with Luxe Point India.

This time Shehla has played around with a lot of sheer fabrics like georgette, nets and chiffon in feminine pastels that  are accentuated with beautiful vintage embroideries. She believes that understated glamour is the way to go for the modern women. “Today's brides are really starting to open up and experiment in what they choose to wear on their wedding day. Even though a large number of brides still go for a traditional red-maroon lehenga, many come up to me asking for something different that has never been seen before”, she says. While her traditional wear revolves around a pastel colour  pallete, she doesn't shy away from bright tones in her pret clothing line.

Shehla has established herself as one of the favored Bollywood designers with a celebrity clientele that includes Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit and Jacqueline Fernandes to name a few.

Her label SHEHLAA has a flagship store and studio in Mumbai. She also retails at prestigious stores such as Aza and Fizaa (Mumbai). With plans to open her first studio in the capital very soon, she dreams of having her own boutique in Paris and going global soon. Here’s wishing her all the best.
